Ellen Kagabitang, 61, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Funeral services for Ellen will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 3 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Maurice Henry Sands officiating. Interment will follow in the Chippewa Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 3rd from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Animal Treatment Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Ellen was born on May 10, 1949 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Willis) Kagabitang. Ellen was a homemaker and a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. She enjoyed bingo, slots at the casino, garage sales, and her cow collection.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Wendy Pierce of Mt. Pleasant; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Katheryn, Mahayla, and Xavier.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents.
